Letter from Waters (U.S. Indian Agent) to H. Price requesting a solution to the Spokane tribal members who have not relocated to a reservation (page 1)
People:H. Price, Sidney D. Waters
The Spokane Falls were the homeland of the Snxwmene who are known as the Middle Spokanes. It was a place where tribes came to fish, trade, and socialize. The traditional territories of the Spokane was greatly dimished from nearly 3 million acres to 154,000 acres by the time of this document. This letter demonstrates the opposition they faced trying to maintain their cultural and life ways at the Falls.
